Year Two

Overview of Year Two

The second year shows the move from hand-drawn concepts to actual projects that could be built. Overall this was a year of exploring different types of design. I did want to fall into a category as always doing the same thing but also developing what I envision my style as moving forward. Between all the classes taken, there was different growth in each of these classes from improving upon artistic skills to learning how to model a building.

For second-year studios, there is a vast variety of projects created. Ranging from small residential designs to relatively large commercial projects.  The projects are organized in a way that shows the most recent first so it in my opinion is easy to see the progression in both skills and creativity of these projects. The first project shows the last fully hand-drawn project and the most recent go to only preliminary designs hand drawn with the final result using several software programs. One thing that is consistent in each of these designs is that they are named after a person. This is something that I like to do to make the project more personal.
